15,000ft Skydive for Grandad
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Epilepsy Society and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
Update: due to weather warnings my skydive on 4th August was cancelled and am now booked in on Grandads 1st heavenly birthday on 12th October!
I am doing this skydive in memory of my Grandad Peter (also known as ‘Trig’) on the 4th August. After thinking of all of the charities I could jump for and all those who helped my grandad along the way, I have chosen epilepsy society due to the silent suffering my Grandad endured over the years. Cancer may be what took him from me at age of 64 but epilepsy took his independence and forced his brave face on a daily long before. My Grandad was not a man to complain about his hardships but he was kind, caring, loving, funny and always smiled his way through life.
Approximately 50 million people world wide suffer with epilepsy which is roughly 1 in 100 within the uk and each suffer constant battles and my grandad was one. I wish to spread awareness to this disorder because not only do 1% of the population suffer with this but family and friends carry the burden and worry too.
I told my Grandad before he passed that this is something I wanted to do and he told me it would be an amazing experience and I should go for it. This is for you Grandad and I hope you’ll be watching proud xx
