Thornton Thursdays aims to build a stronger sense of community among USC Thornton students and faculty through monthly social events. As musicians, we recognize that our fondest memories are shaped by the friendships and communities we build, yet there are few opportunities at Thornton for students across diverse programs to connect outside of a musical setting. To address this, we plan to host monthly events for musicians to bond over games like Mario Kart, Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader, and Family Feud. These gatherings will offer a relaxed space to meet new people and create lasting memories that will enrich the Thornton experience beyond just music.
