Thomas Benoit - aka “Tom-the-bomb-dot-com”

Our sister Narelle, and Jason, are the parents to 3 awesome boys, William (12), Thomas (6), and Charlie (3), and they recently received some devastating news. Their 6-year-old son, Thomas, was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an inherited disorder of progressive muscular weakness, typically in boys.

Thomas and his parents have begun the emotional journey of meeting with a team of doctors that have been assigned to Thomas to discuss treatment options as well as what the future holds for Thomas. As they begin to learn more about this disorder and navigate this very emotional journey together, the extended family would like for them to stay focused on the care of Thomas as well as their 2 other children. Not only do they need emotional support, love, and kindness during this very difficult time, they will also encounter financial challenges along the way.

Donations made to this go-fund-me will hopefully help to lessen the financial impact that this is going to have on them as a family. This disheartening disorder will eventually require a wheelchair for Thomas. Imagine an energetic, exploratory, full of life little boy who loves riding his motorized toy dirt bike, having life disrupted, and the confusion it is going to cause him.
