In February of 2020, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I was declared in remission on September 10th, 2020. Sarah and I, as well as others, have been training to run the "Rock the Parkway" Half Marathon on 8/28/2021. We wanted some good to come out of this experience, so we are raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). The LLS is a major funder of cancer research including a study that I am a part of. In this study, they were checking the COVID antibody levels of vaccinated people treated for blood cancer. From that study, I learned that my vaccine antibodies are at undetectable levels. With this knowledge, I began the process of seeking a booster shot now that my immune system had recovered more since treatment.
