This is RICHARD! He survived Ian, but has nothing

Hello friends family, here on FMB and in my great hometown of Pittsburgh PA. This is Debi Szekely and As many of you know from my own Facebook posts, we recently lost our house to the storm surge of Hurricane Ian on the island of FMB, but that really meams very little compared to the absolute horror our friend and neighbor, Richard, with his son Mark and brother Leroy, went through and survived. They all planned on riding out the storm at their cement fortified home on Hibiscus Drive, but when things took a turn for the worse, they all fled to the hotel where a Mark works. At the Wyndham, on the second floor (there is no third floor) they watched as the storm waters started to come into the room where they were seeking sanctuary. For hours they were hammered by 150 + winds and the rising surge. They survived the ordeal for another day but their house and everything they owned, including both cars, were literally washed away, down the street, into the bay. They walked off the island with the clothes on their backs. Richard is one of the most funny, warm, compassionate people we have ever known and he is like family to us. Mark, his son, Would do anything for anyone without even blinking an eye . And Leroy is a quiet fellow who just smiles all of the time, even though he is very ill. I could go on and on but I’m just asking for a little bit of compassion and funds to help them buy some new clothes, get a few hot meals, and maybe an old used car so they can look for work since the entire island is decimated. They found temporary shelter so they are at least in out of the heat and elements.
