Hi our names are Faye, Amy, Viv and Alice
Our National Lottery funding is coming to an end. Agewell is no longer able to run these vital dementia support groups—but with your help and donations, we can continue supporting those who need us most.
Our groups in Sandwell provide a lifeline for people living with mild to moderate dementia and their families. Here, people don’t just sit and listen—they engage in meaningful activities, enjoy guest speakers, take part in arts and crafts, and go on trips to local parks, towns, and cafés. We believe in Thinking Differently About Dementia—our members shape what we do, ensuring they have a voice in their own care and experiences.
Dementia affects nearly 1 million people in the UK, including over 70,000 with young-onset dementia. It’s not just about memory loss—it impacts daily life and places a huge strain on families and careers. That’s why our groups also offer vital peer support, advice, and respite for family careers.
Without new funding, these groups will have to close—but your donations can help us keep them running. Every contribution will make a difference in ensuring that people living with dementia and their families continue to receive the support, friendship, and activities they rely on.
If however we don't hit our target the money raised will be donated to agewell to continue to support elderly and vulnerable people living in Sandwell.
Please donate if you can—together. We can keep this vital service going. Thank you.
