Do you want to help me make a difference? In January 2021, I will be undertaking a Virtual Internship with Think Pacific.
Think Pacific is a charity that works in direct partnership with the Fijian Government to implement aims and initiatives set by the Fijian national Development Plan in rural communities across Fiji. This is delivered through ethical volunteering which are locally monitored and ensure sustainable outcomes.
Since 2009, the organisation has guided over 3000 volunteers to the Fiji islands and has seen these volunteers lead peer to peer workshops with the village youth group around relevant social issues.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their volunteer programs have been put on hold. This has led to the creation of their Virtual Internship Program so volunteers can still make a difference while gaining important working skills. By doing the internship, I will get to choose an area which interests me and be partnered with a local organisation in Fiji. I will then be given an action project to work on which will tackle real problems and aid the organisation in their work.
The money that will be raised is half of my project fee and I will be paying the other half of the fee to make it fair and because I know that my money will be contributing to a great cause. In addition to this, over 50% of the fee will fund local community initiatives in Fiji.
Any donations would be a huge help so that I can contribute to the future of Fiji and the insurance of creating long-lasting impact. Thank you.
