Dominick "Thick" Mascarenas an tattoo artist, an avid motorcyclist and builder. On July 19, 2013 he was riding his Harley Davidson and was ran into by a driver making an illegal left hand turn.
The impact was so devastating that it crushed his left leg into the engine of the motorcycle, leaving part of his bone in the powerplant.
Over the past few months, he's had numerous operations to try and save the leg. Due to a recent staph infection that has settled into the bone, he has decided to remove his leg.
The surgery is scheduled for next week. Thick has tried to remain positive through this long ordeal He is self employed with no medical insurance. All donations are much appreciated and will go toward his unforeseen medical bills.
