Help Support Kathy - Our Beloved Local Donut Shop Owner

Our community’s heart was broken on September 10th, 2025, when Kathy, the owner of Fresh Donuts and Bagels in Fremont, was robbed of everything she owns. The people who did this to her stole her life savings, documents, family heirlooms, emergency funds—everything she has worked so hard to build for herself since 1997.

If you’ve ever visited Fresh Donuts & Bagels, you know that this mom-and-pop shop run by Kathy is a gem of the community. She’s the warm smile that greets you every morning, the one who remembers your order, and who always makes sure everyone is fed—whether you can pay that day or not. She has poured her heart and soul into this community, quietly giving and caring without ever asking for anything in return.

Now, she needs our help. She is completely devastated and scared, trying to rebuild her sense of safety and security from nothing.

Let’s show her that she is not alone and that this community that she’s loved so fiercely will rally behind her just the same. Every dollar will go toward helping Kathy, her husband, and four children recover from this unimaginable loss and get back on her feet.
