Hello, my name is Abdalhadi Saqallah. I’m a Palestinian from Gaza, and I live in Belgium with my wife.

I created this fundraiser to help my family in Gaza rebuild their lives with dignity after everything they’ve been through. This is not easy for me to write, but asking for help is now the only way to keep them safe and alive.

For the past two years, I’ve done everything I can to support my family during the war. Since it began, I’ve been sending part of my income every month to help them survive. Now, after a long and devastating conflict, Gaza is under a fragile ceasefire but the city is almost completely destroyed, and families like mine are struggling to start over.

My family lived in Gaza City, but when the war first started, they were forced to move south to Deir al balah, where they rented a small apartment temporarily. During the war, my father died in Deir Al balah, which made everything even harder for all of us. After the first ceasefire in January 2025 , my mother, sister, and brother they returned to our house in Gaza City. The house was still standing but partially destroyed, and they tried to live there again, hoping things would get better.

After the latest wave of attacks in June 2025, my family had to leave again and return to Deir al balah. This time, they couldn’t find a place to rent. The city was completely full, and everything had become extremely expensive. They had no choice but to rent a small piece of land and buy tents to live in at this moment.

Sadly, the war completely destroyed the family business, which was the sole source of income. Since then, the family has faced ongoing financial hardship and has had no stable means of support.

Now, our goal is to help my mother, sister, and brother return safely to their home and make essential repairs so they can live there again with dignity. The house requires significant maintenance and basic furnishings, but they have no financial means to cover these costs.

I continue to send what I can every month, but it’s no longer enough. This campaign isn’t about pity or luxury it’s about helping my family rebuild their lives and their home with dignity after surviving years of destruction and loss.

We are hoping to raise €50,000 to cover essential home repairs, basic living needs, and temporary support until they can regain stability. Any contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated and makes a real difference.
