SEPTEMBER 23rd SCAFELL PIKE CLIMB - FOR MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS
On September 23rd 2023 Jenny Foster and her amazing group of friends will be climbing up England's Tallest Mountain. Raising money and awareness for THE WOODPECKER PROJECT.
The newly founded mental health awareness charity have already agreed to training Jenny in Mental Health First aid. A 2 day training course which will enable her to give back in her community and friends alike. This course will teach Jenny signs and symptoms and give her guidance on how to be there for someone in times of a Mental Health First Aider.
Money raised during this climb will give others the opportunity to go onto this training and support further into as many gyms and communities as possible. Please donate and share where you can and encourage conversations around mental health in a positive light.
Please read on further about how the THE WOODPECKER PROJECT uses fitness challenges like this to get people talking and train people in Mental Health First aid.

Welcome to THE WOODPECKER PROJECT Donation page!
We’re using fitness challenges to start conversations around mental health. Please let us know below which challenges you’ve heard about and what us talking about mental health means to you :)
The money we raise along the way we use to train Mental Health first aiders.
We aim to have a Mental Health Advocate in every gym and fitness facility in the UK.
You may never meet that many people, but by agreeing to help start this charity, I hope you would feel empowered knowing that you are supporting many people with their mental health.
What is THE WOODPECKER PROJECT?
We EDUCATE, provide training in Mental Health First aid.
We EMPOWER, taking people on their journey through physical challenges.
We ENCOURAGE those conversations to support communities around us.
