Theta Chi's Run for Heroes

Tax deductible
Theta Chi Chapters all across the U.S. have raised money for the USO since 2013, when the USO and Theta Chi launched Operation Military Red. This year, in the wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Theta Chi Chapters from Arkansas and Missouri State have teamed up to raise money for the USO of Missouri. Theta Chi was founded on the idea of an "assisting hand" and never before have those words been more accurate than right now.

On Saturday, October 3rd members of the Missouri State Chapter of Theta Chi will be leaving from the their campus and will start the 144 mile run to Old Main in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Runners from the Missouri State Chapter will complete the first 72 miles on Saturday, October 3rd, with the last 72 miles being completed by members of the Arkansas Chapter of Theta Chi Saturday night and early Sunday morning. To symbolize why we are running, and raising money, a USO flag will be carried by each runner and will travel the 144 miles with us. It is our goal to bring awareness and to raise money for those who have sacrificed so much for our safety and wellbeing.

If you want to know more about the role that the USO plays in helping armed service men and women, watch the following video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJq0HaHR6eE, or if you want to know more about the USO of Missouri and how they support the USO, look at their website: https://www.usomissouri.org/

P.S.  All necessary safety precautions are being taken in order to adhere to all local and state level Covid-19 restrictions, and in-order to keep all participants safe and healthy.
