Wrigley & Walker lost their Daddy...

Donation protected
08/26/2023 - It has been a hot minute since I have published an update, so I figured today is a good day to do so. Donna's birthday is 3 days away and this year, I am hoping to get as many of my friends and acquaintances to make a donation to help support her and the babies. She is still awaiting survivor benefits for everyone. We all know how very slow the hands of the government work. Very sad indeed.

Donna recently posted this on Facebook. This gives everyone an idea of how she is hurting for her soulmate her Christian. As horrific as it was, as I try and heal, I am more and more grateful I was there to hold and talk to you through it all. I hope you felt some sense of comfort as you took your last breath in my arms and felt how much I Fkn love you. In no way was it a “proper” goodbye but at least we got that together. I will never get that image out of my head but at the same time would feel absolutely guilty if I was not there for you doing all I could to keep you with us. Just wish I could’ve done more .

Although she has no comfort right now, I know in my bones that in time she will come to know how much those last minutes meant to Christian.
I know this post is a little more heavy, but people need to realize it has only been 3 months and it is not an easy thing to get over.  But Donna continues to live for her babies to always remind them of Christian.
Now for a little bit of a more lighthearted update.  Wrigley & Walker have had a nice summer.  They played at the beach and the pool.  Wrigley has tapped into her chef side a bit more with Mommy.  Walker is now sitting up and chattering away.  They spent time with Aunt Gina and their cousin. Nana and Papa have been visiting and of course they see PP (Donna's Dad) all the time.  Plus all of the family who live in the area.  The big news is that Wrigley will be starting school soon.  :-)
If you have gotten this far...Thank you.  Please remember this coming week is Donna's birthday.  Let us try and make it slightly better by making a small donation to help her and the babies.
XOXOXOX

06/14/2023 – I wanted to update everyone on some things. Well first we made it to 103% of the goal set of $10,000. We have now increased that goal to $12,500, so we are now at 83% of our new goal. Thanks to each one of you who have donated to make this reality for these beautiful babies. June 6th was Walker’s 1st birthday. We came together this weekend to celebrate him and do what we all know my brother would have wanted. Some of you sent Walker some birthday goodies off his Amazon Wish List, so thank you for those presents. I will include some pics from this weekend below. I will be back down in PA to spend Father’s Day with the munchkins.

Each and everyone of us are grieving and processing this all differently. The kids are doing their part as they always do. Wrigley is being a typical 3-year-old who LOVES the word no and NOW. I have never seen such a cutie be such a diva at 3. Walker sleeps, eats, poops, and repeats. Donna is trying to settle into a routine without her Christian who was her person. Donna is a strong-willed woman who I know will redefine her life and do it all for her babies. Bells is trying too. She has her amazing boyfriend Matt and friends who try and make sure she is surrounded on the daily. She immediately ran and got a tattoo on her wrist to remember him. Donna and I are still working out what we each want to memorialize Christian. As many of you know my Dad is the silent type, but I know deep down he is hurting. No one should have to bury a child, but he has had to, but I am sure his faith is helping him. Ray, Donna’s Dad, is pitching in as much as he can doing his PeePee (Grandpa) duties. Just as I did when my hubby passed in July, I jumped right back into work. But check in as much as I can on the daily.

If you have not donated yet and can, please do so. If you cannot, we all understand, all we ask is that you share this information with your friends and say a quick prayer for everyone.

XOXOX,
Den

05/31/2023 - It has been 8 days since my baby brother passed away from HAE (www.haea.org). His case was mild in comparison to me and Mom, but he still had it nonetheless. When this tragedy occurred he left behind so much. Bells (Isabella), his oldest at 20 is having a tough time that her daddy is gone. Wrigley (LeiLei), his middle bambina at 3 is consumed with Nana being there continuously, so right now she is golden. Walker (WaWa), will be 1 on June 6th. I will be heading back to PA on the 9th for his 1st Birthday Party on June 10th. Before anyone asks here is the registry for his party (https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/BUP31BHRT6K6) . I know how some of you operate. :-) His sweet Donna, although we might have gotten off on the wrong foot a few years ago, we have truly bonded and became each other's support system. I wish I could take all of the pain away from her. She is trying to be strong for those two babies and her stepdaughter, Bells.

I am far from wealthy, so I must try and depend upon my network of friends, co-workers and acquaintances to raise necessary funds for these babies and their Mama. I truly would like to be able to get to a minimum of $10k for them. In this day and age, it will not get far at all, but it will help.

Thanks and love,
Den

***********************************************************************************05/23/2023 - Yesterday, these babies' dad was taken suddenly from them. Wrigley is three and Walker will be one in 2 weeks. Donna is holding these babies close while mourning the loss of her soulmate. This sudden tragedy is not going to be an easy one for Donna or the babies. While going through this grief, we are all dealing with, Donna is working with eye specialists to figure out if there is a way for her precious Walker to be able to see in the future.

We are all banding together to help Donna to be able to spend all of her time with these babies and give them each the best lives they will have ahead of them.

Please donate what you can to make all of this a reality in Christian's honor.
