3rd Annual Operation Christmas Giveback

Donation protected

The pandemic has affected so many families and this upcoming holiday season is proving to be difficult for so many children in the greater Memphis area. Operation Christmas giveback is a holiday event organized by tv personality, host, founder of the Rice Foundation, and cast member of MTV's Floribama Shore, Candace Rice; who partners with Black Panther actress/stunt woman, and founder of CB Seed Foundation , Carrie Bernans to bring Christmas to qualifying children from families who are not financially able to provide a holiday experience.

In 2018, our first year of Operation Christmas, we served 10 children and in 2019 we almost tripled that number with 28 children. Although 2020 has been a tough year for us all, we feel that this is the year is where expansion to service as many children as possible is needed the most; which is why we are have a new goal to service 75 children.

Your donation will help this event take place on December 21-23rd (2020) where we will pick up 25 kids each day from the Neighborhood Christian Center on a bus to the shopping destination.
-Each child will receive a $250 gift card and a personal adult volunteer to assist with shopping
-Each child will board the bus to have lunch at Benihanas after giveaway
-Each child will be taken back to the Christian center on the bus with their presents

**All children and volunteers will be COVID tested, temperature checked, masks will be provided, and distancing will be practiced in all locations, including bus transportation.**

Our goal is to show these amazing kids a wonderful holiday season after a challenging year, to provide hope to their parents and guardians, and to allow these kids to enjoy a fun restaurant where we can sit, mentor, and allow them a unique dining experience in revelation to the many cool things outside their current neighborhoods and family situations.

If we could all take a chunk of what we worked for and used it to cultivate and grow struggling communities, we could save and redirect the structure of those who weren't dealt the best hand in life. We can alleviate the stresses of survival and provide the necessities for the youth to excel in school, stay off the streets, leave their block, heal beyond today's toxic, cultural influence and stimulate knowledge in naturally gifted areas. That is the purpose of the Rice Foundation; cultivating at risk communities in every way possible.

Our own childhood challenges & life experiences make us aware and grateful for the life-changing value you can bring.
Thank You for your willingness to help and consideration. You can contact Carrie Bernans directly at [email redacted], or myself at [email redacted].

The Rice Foundation and CB Seed Foundation are both 501c3 non-for-profit organizations.
