A dear friend (a single mom and teacher) adopted a 18-month old little girl (now, three years old) from India in March 2020 (yes, just as COVID took hold globally). Baby Z was born with a cleft lip, but upon coming home, Gauri learned that baby Z had many other developmental delays and sensory issues requiring several hours of therapy a week. She still does not speak, eat solid foods, or functionally play.
Unfortunately, therapy and support during COVID and even today has been tremendously difficult (lots of demand, limited hours, limited in network insurance coverage, staffing and flexibility, etc.). While Gauri has an amazing perspective that we admire tremendously, she lacks the necessary support network and financial means to continue all the therapies Baby Z needs to catch up to her birth age.
We are reaching out to our friends and family in hopes of providing her with a little bit of financial support to help this amazing little girl get the occupational, feeding, developmental and speech therapies she needs over the course of the next couple years.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Anika & Pavan
