Potter's Village - Dodowa, Ghana
Donation protected
My son, Wyatt, is working in an orphanage (Potters Village) in Dodowa, Ghana. In addition to teaching 2nd grade and childcare, he has been put in charge of overseeing the medical needs of the kids (picking up prescriptions, taking them to the clinic, etc.) There is a malaria outbreak and the orphanage doesn't have money for hospital visits. Wyatt ended up taking some of the children in, using his own money, and was told one of the children would have died soon without medical care. I've had multiple people ask how they can help, and this is an urgent need right now. Wyatt said $25 USD treats one child. I'm collecting money just for medical stuff and putting it into his account as needed, then any left over at the end can be donated to the orphanage.
I'm also working with Mama Jane (Dr. Jane Adu), the founder of the orphanage, to raise a large amount to help build their new facilities and their overall needs. They will be building new housing, a school, bakery, and be able to house livestock and do some farming.
In addition to providing care for 117 orphans she also provides counseling and vocational training for battered and abused women.
If anyone would like to donate, even a little bit goes a long way.
