Yemen. Yemen has a population of 30.5 million people. 20.1 million people are currently facing hunger in the absence of food assistance. 14.4 million are dependent on assistance to sustain or save their lives. Over five years of conflict have left thousands of civilians dead and has had a devastating impact on the country’s infrastructure causing major overland routes and airports severely damaged. Malnutrition rates among women and children in Yemen remain among the highest in the world, with more than a million women and 2 million children requiring treatment for acute malnutrition. Of these children, around 360,000 are at risk of dying without treatment. This time last year, we successfully managed to raise over £1000, which allowed us to begin the process of refurbishing a primary school in Yemen so that the children may have access to an Education. On top of this, I will be facing my fears and will be doing a sponsored bungee jump to help raise these funds, so I would really appreciate your donations.
