On Friday afternoon, August 2nd, during a sudden and powerful thunderstorm in Tyler, Texas, a massive tree crashed through the home of my in laws Bill and Chris Jones. The impact was so severe that it left their home completely uninhabitable, shattering the roof and sending debris throughout the house.

Bill and Chris were outside when the lightning began flashing and the winds picked up rapidly. In the few moments they had before taking shelter, the unthinkable happened a large tree toppled directly onto their home. By the grace of God, they were unharmed physically, but their home, memories, and sense of security were left in ruins.

This tragic event has displaced them with no immediate place to call home and no clear timeline for recovery. They are now faced with the overwhelming emotional and financial burden of starting over from scratch, temporary housing, cleanup, home repairs, and replacing essential belongings.
