Australian Bushfire Crisis

Our home - Australia has out of control fires burning countrywide. We have now lost 18 lives and have 28 people still missing in Victoria. 1300 homes have burned down across the country, with many more left damaged.

5 million hectares of forest and bushland have been destroyed - to put that into perspective the Amazon rainforest burned more than 900,000 hectares. California burned more than 1.8 million hectares. That’s more area than the Amazon and the California fires put together.

Our wildlife has taken a huge hit with over 480 million animals killed. Our koalas have lost over a third of their population roughly 8000 have perished and are now functionally extinct due to the devastating effects of the fires destroying their habitats and burning them alive. Over 100,000 farm animals have also been wiped out by the fires.

So how can we help? What can we do? The bushfire emergency is continuing to cause devastation across Australia, if you are looking for a way you can help those affected, support our campaign so we can better support the people and organisations that are working tirelessly to end the fires.
