The Wounded Highlanders
Hi, My name is Lewis, and I am fundraising for an excellent charitable organisation called The Wounded Highlanders.
As an organisation, the Wounded Highlanders is directed towards bringing adaptive and able-body veterans together to train and compete in the Royal Scottish Adaptive Highland Games. The wounded Highlanders allow our veterans to continue doing something they love that drives them. The team works together to create a positive and uplifting community; as a collective, they hold 9 world records!
This fundraiser is to contribute to the costs of an office / HQ for the team and the use of a fully functional treatment room. These rooms would allow The Wounded Highlanders to continue providing this support to the adaptive and able-body veterans and enable them to continue doing what they love.
This charitable organisation has brought not only the adaptive and able-body veterans together but also their families and created a community that gives back to those that deserve it the most.
This Fundraiser is run alongside a 24 Hour deadlift event on the 2nd July at local Sponsor premises, The Power Bar. This event will be live-streamed, and the link will be distributed to all who donate to the Fundraiser. Members of The Power Bar and The Wounded Highlanders will participate in the event to keep the barbell moving non-stop for the whole 24 hours.
