The William Mills Foundation Take on Ironman 70.3 Weymouth
This year our team is taking on Ironman 70.3 Weymouth on Sunday 20th September to raise money for The William Mills Foundation, a charity that means a great deal to all of us. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help make a genuine difference. Thank you for supporting us and this cause we care about so much.
Why We’re Supporting The William Mills Foundation
The William Mills Foundation was created after the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Will Mills in June 2018. Will collapsed and died at his home near Bewdley in Worcestershire. His death was recorded as being from natural causes although the exact reason was never fully determined.
In the days that followed, Will’s family were overwhelmed by the love, support and offers of help from friends and the wider community. Wanting to turn that kindness into something lasting and positive they created The William Mills Foundation. The charity focuses on mentoring and supporting young people, offering guidance and opportunities that reflect Will’s generous and uplifting nature.
The foundation continues to change lives and we are proud to help contribute to that work.
The Challenge
Ironman 70.3 Weymouth is a significant test of endurance. We will each take on:
1.2 miles of open water swimming
56 miles of cycling
13.1 miles of running
We are pushing ourselves physically and mentally in honour of a fantastic cause. Knowing that this challenge supports young people makes every mile worth it.
How You Can Help
Your donation will help the foundation provide mentoring, confidence building, and opportunities that can change a young person’s life. Together we can help continue Will’s legacy and support the next generation.
Thank you for reading our story and for any support you are able to give.
