Race against the sun, John o' Groats to Lands End

Hi, I'm Stuart. I'm organising a fundraising challenge to support a local project in my village. The project I'm supporting is the restoration of our local pub, the White Lion, into a community hub.

To help raise support, I have set myself (and a 2nd driver) the challenge of driving from John o' Groats in Scotland to Lands End in Cornwall, between sunrise and sunset. We will be setting off from John o' Groats on Thursday 26th June 2025 at sunrise, and the challenge is for us to arrive at Lands End before sunset. We will be obeying all UK road laws for speed and safety.

The White Lion in Pailton is a Grade II listed, 18th century coaching inn, which closed back in 2015. The pub was purchased by the village in 2019 and it has recently been granted funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The pub is set to be transformed into a community hub that includes a local shop, pub, cafe restaurant, post office, enterprise units, airbnb style rooms & gardens.
