Help The Watering Bowl Match Our $5K Contribution. Let's Raise $10K for Our Amazing Staff Members
In response to the Stay-At-Home Order for St. Louis City & County, The Watering Bowl had to suspend all regular operations as of March 23rd, 2020. Through this time, we had to make some very tough decisions hoping to best benefit our employees. Although a few remain on salary, most of the 120 Watering Bowl family members were furloughed so they could collect unemployment while we are unable to provide work. Thankfully, each of these individuals gets to keep their healthcare coverage and will be welcomed back with very open arms and teary eyes when we can open our doors to the public once again.
We like to think of The Watering Bowl as more than just a small business. We are a community of dog lovers. A family of dedicated, hard-working, and passionate teammates. We can’t begin to convey our appreciation for all of you who voluntarily came forward to find out how you can help our crew during this time. All 120 of us want to extend our thanks for your concern and support.
Although we have some reserves in our arsenal, it is unfortunately just not enough to provide for all of the needs of all of these people we care so intensely about. We invite you to participate in our Go Fund Me drive to purchase groceries, personal care products, and other miscellaneous necessities for all of our furloughed people while they await stimulus and unemployment. For those not familiar with the process, the assistance is taking longer than originally indicated, so we are working to fill the need gap for our dedicated TWB family.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 for a supply bank across all four locations. And we are matching the first $5,000 to help us get there. Honestly, we are kicking in the $5k no matter what. We are just hoping it encourages others to join our efforts.
We’ve already begun distributing dog food thanks to a generous donation from our friends at Treats Unleashed. The Waggin’ Wagon has been making its rounds to make sure mouths are being fed. And we look forward to doing more.
Your help can make a huge difference for our folks. We know you have a lot going on in your own life, and we hope the companionship of your dog is helping you through this difficult stretch. We also hope this is all over soon, so we can see each and every one of you at The Watering Bowl.
