Phase 2 of The Watch Hill Playground Project

The Friends of Watch Hill Association (a non-profit 501(c)(3)organization), with the cooperation of the National Parks Service, is raising money to purchase and install a playground at Watch Hill National Seashore located on Fire Island, NY. Many children visit Watch Hill annually either with their families or on school field trips, scouting trips or with summer camps. The playground will enhance thousands of children’s experiences while visiting Watch Hill. The nature-inspired designed playground includes activities to build the bodies and minds of children of all ages and abilities (ADA accessible) while fostering friendships and a sense of community (similar to the one pictured above). Currently, Watch Hill offers a visitor’s center, marina, camping/glamping, ranger-led interpretive programs, pristine beaches, food concession, convenience store and restroom/shower facilities. Let’s add “playground” to this list! Please consider donating toward this project.
