The Village Shala needs its community's support
Donation protected
It feels like a lifetime ago when we gathered together at the Village Shala and chanted the Opening Prayer in unison. Remember the days when we would practice mat to mat with our yoga family? Remember those packed Christine workshops where we would excitedly hike up the staircase into studio delighted to see our out of state friends?
The pandemic has been hard on every yoga community -- classes became virtual and studios are left vacant or closed for good. The Village Shala needs our help to hang on, so that it can be there for us when it's safe for us to gather in person again. We are raising $10,000 to pay for the studio's rent during the pandemic so that we can return to our yoga home when the pandemic is over.
The Village Shala and its prior incarnation, Bristol Yoga, have occupied the same space for the past 20+ years. This special space, our studio, has held generations of practitioners as we practiced as yogis and grew as people. Our babies and puppies have crawled the floor of the studio as part of the family. This studio has been our safe and sacred space as we shed sweat, tears, and shared laughter with our friends.
It's been a tough year for many, so please take care of yourself. But if you are able, please consider supporting the studio and community by making a donation toward our goal of preserving the studio and keeping the magic alive.

We look forward to the day when we can practice in the same space again. The light in me sees the light in you. Namaste.
