The Coolcappa community is facing the fight of its life. Planning permission has now been lodged by Greensource Green Energy Ltd for six industrial-scale wind turbines that

residents believe would have a devastating impact on our area.

This development would tower over our homes, our school and our countryside. Many local families are deeply worried that it will take away the peace, safety, and health that residents of Coolcappa have cherished for generations. People are concerned about the effect on their homes, which may no longer feel like safe places of rest if dominated by turbine noise and shadow flicker. Parents fear for their children, with questions about whether the school and

young people growing up here will have a healthy and safe environment. There are also concerns for wellbeing, with worries about sleep disturbance, stress and anxiety for those

living closest to the proposed site.

But this fight is not just about today. It is about the future of Coolcappa. Imagine your child returning home in years to come, hoping to build a house and raise a family, only to be told

it cannot happen because the land has been sterilised by the presence of an industrial wind turbine. That is the reality we fear. Planning restrictions mean no new homes can be built

within a certain distance of a turbine, yet these large machines may be permitted beside homes that already exist. This contradiction threatens the natural growth and rejuvenation of our community.

Above all, there is a sense that the very spirit of Coolcappa is at stake. Residents believe the

turbines would not only scar the landscape but undermine the character of a community where neighbours have always supported one another. For us, this is not just about
