Dear Friends and Supporters of Village Studio and Gallery,
We are reaching out to you with an urgent and exciting opportunity. Village Studio and Gallery has seen tremendous growth and success, and we are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from the community. However, our current space can no longer contain our expanding vision and the needs of our ever-growing community of artists and art enthusiasts.
We have outgrown our current studio and are in desperate need of a larger space to accommodate our flourishing creative hub. The limitations of our current location have become increasingly apparent as we struggle to fit in new shelves, welcome more students and members, and expand our equipment inventory to meet the demands of our vibrant community.
To fully realize our potential and better serve the Village, we need your help to secure a new, larger studio space. This new space will not only allow us to create a welcoming and accessible environment for all, but it will also enable us to offer a wider range of services and resources to our members and the community at large.
The funds we are seeking will go towards essential needs such as wiring, plumbing, additional equipment, and the logistical requirements of the move. With your support, we aim to acquire a larger kiln, pugmill, additional wheels, and a slab roller to expand our capabilities and enhance the creative experience for all who walk through our doors.
In addition, the new space will provide the opportunity to establish a handicap-accessible studio, ensuring that everyone can visit and participate comfortably. This inclusivity reflects our commitment to creating a space where all individuals, regardless of ability, feel welcome and empowered to express their creativity.
The benefits of a larger studio are not limited to our internal operations; the extra space will also allow us to host more classes and events, unlocking the full potential of our community's creative talents. Furthermore, the return of our gallery will provide local potters and artists with a platform to showcase and sell their work, enriching the artistic landscape of the Village.
We are proud to have created a space where everyone is welcome and represented. As the first and only black-owned studio in Charlotte, we are enthusiastic about the diverse and inclusive environment we have cultivated. Your contributions will enable us to continue fostering this environment and expanding our impact within the community.
As a token of our appreciation, donors who contribute $500 or more will receive a personalized clay tile on our wall, symbolizing your integral role in building the foundation of our new space. For those who donate $1000 or more, we will proudly display your name or logo as a sponsor on our wall in the heart of the Village, recognizing your generous support for years to come.
We are immensely grateful for your consideration and support. Together, we can bring our vision of a larger, more inclusive, and vibrant creative space to life. Your support will make a meaningful difference and leave a lasting impact on our community.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and for your unwavering support of Village Studio and Gallery.
