The Vanderbilt Climbing Outreach Program

Hi, my name is Pax Poggi and I am fundraising for the Vanderbilt Climbing Outreach Program. Our mission is to make climbing accessible to everyone and to use climbing as a tool for growth.

We are currently working with Dismas House, a halfway house that supports returning citizens recently released from jail as they reenter society. Dismas House has two main programs, the Reentry, and Independent Living programs. These programs help residents grow and adjust to their new lives and we are proud to be able to help add another component to this.

Climbing has been tremendously helpful in my own life to build confidence, integrate myself into a great community, and manage stress. We hope that by sharing climbing we can help others experience the same benefits.

Climbing can be a relatively expensive sport and because of this, all of the proceeds from this GoFundMe will go directly to paying for entrance fees and gym memberships for returning citizens from Dismas House.
