Hello friends and friends-to-be. I am raising money to help the family of my friend, Eni, who is a single parent and was detained by ICE from Milford, MA on September 8th, and is now in Louisiana for detention. All three of her children (6, 16, and 18) are US citizens , and the oldest two wish to remain and finish their schooling in Massachusetts. Please help with immediate donations, whatever you can give, for their rent, food, and bills for the next six months. The youngest child will have to return to Brazil with Eni if she is deported. See her full story below.
Thank you for caring.

Hello,
My name is Eni Abreu. I am a mother of 3 beautiful children who were born in the US, ages 18, 16 and 6. My story is similar to many immigrants who left their country looking for a better future. I was recently detained by an ICE agent and transferred to a detention facility in Louisiana.
I am looking for help to support my kids until my case can be decided. If it is for me to stay I will be very happy, but if I have to return to my country, I will, and my younger son, who is 6 is coming with me. My daughter and older son want to finish school and pursue a decent future in the US.
I was young when I first got here. I came to the US because of my mother. She raised me and my siblings with very little because she was a single mother. Later in life she had to deal with cancer, and I wanted to be able to provide her with a better life.
Once in the US, I started my family and had three children who make me very proud and who I love very much. Unfortunately, due to a divorce I also became a single parent.
I fell in love with United States, and I wanted this to be my forever home, so I started my legalization process. I've been presenting myself before the Immigration Judge for the last 10 years. I did everything that was asked for me to do to seek forgiveness and be able to stay in this country, but I was denied because the immigration laws recently become harder.
Now I am in prison, not able to see my kids. I don’t know how long I am going to stay here because they don’t tell us. I worry about my kids day and night, because before being an immigrant, I am a mother and a human being. Now my kids are left with all the expenses to pay. They are so young.
I am so grateful for all the people who are willing to help us in this difficult moment. I have not enough words to thank all of you.
Sincerely,
Eni Abreu
