The People's 2023 SA Multicultural Festival

Congratulations to everyone involved! The festival was a HUGE success. The cost of production, food and entertainment was slightly higher than budgeted. We invite all of our generous supporters to help cover.

The South Australian Government's Multiculturalism Minister Zoe Bettison has BANNED Australian children with Russian historical roots from taking part in a multicultural concert in Adelaide's CBD for the first time in 30 years.

This is very un-Australian of Zoe Bettison MP. This is discrimination & racism.

The community have decided to hold an 'unofficial' Multicultural festival and hire a professional event company to provide a corporate style stage including audio, visual, security, permits, public liability insurance, police approval, legal advice, council approval, free food and refreshments for Adelaide's general public to enjoy a fun, vibrant, family-friendly, unofficial, non-government grass roots multicultural festival day showcasing multiculturalism, Australian values and a 'fair go' for kids of all cultures and backgrounds including local children's ensembles who were banned from performing on the 'official' government-sponsored stage by Minister Zoe Bettison.
