The unlikely pilgrimage of Biff and Buz, for our buddy Will.
Donation protected
On the 8th-11th May, Chess (Buz) and myself (Biff) will be stomping and trekking 130k (three marathons!), across three counties, from Glastonbury to Exeter Chiefs Rugby club.
That is a 3-and-a-bit-day hike, across all sorts of fun terrain. We have plotted the route ourselves as a two-man challenge. Compass please.
The reason we are doing this, is to raise money for the young boys of our wonderful friend Will, who lost his life tragically and suddenly in August 2023.
Will was the best of the best. He lit up every room, his humour was unlike any other, he was generous to a fault, he had the biggest heart, and the most loving soul. His biggest love was for his family, and he has left behind his incredible wife, Emma, their 4-year-old son, Louis, and their 11-month-old son Jack, who sadly Will never met. Will had a passion for fun, music and dancing and loved Glastonbury, hence our starting point. He also had a passion for rugby and supported the Exeter Chiefs loyally all his life, with his older brother. If the walk goes as we plan, we’ll be walking into Exeter in time for the big Chief’s game on Sunday 11th May.
Donations made will be transferred into a trust for Will’s two young sons. A trust which has been securely set up by solicitors and will be used to contribute towards the boy’s health, education, leisure and home up until the age of 18. Donations will also be used to get a memorial bench for Will on Tooting Common, near his family home. A quiet spot for the boys, friends and family to visit, and say hi to the man we all miss every day.
Anything you can afford to donate would be much appreciated. Nearer the time we will share more information on the route and our timings. For those who fancy joining us for a few steps along the way, please do! Bring that Will hype-man energy we all know and loved.
Thanks so much,
Biff (Katie) and Buz (Chess)*
*Thanks William for those nick names. We know you’ll be cheering us on, and impatiently shouting for us to hurry up and get to the game.
