Chelsea is about to pop!
These past few weeks have been a strange and confronting time for Chelsea, to say the least. Due to restrictions and isolation, Chelsea has needed to surrender her thoughts and plans of what this exciting time of pregnancy should have looked and felt like.
Currently, the Covid-19 restrictions in hospital maternity units have put Chelsea in a position where she cannot have the support crew that she holds at such high value, attend. For this reason, she feels strongly guided to re-think her birth plan. It is her vision and desire to create a peaceful and memorable experience for her baby's birth and this can still be achieved through a registered home birth, one with her support crew and family surrounding her.
A home birth is a huge financial commitment and this is why we have set up this page.
As the ultimate gift that would mean the world to Chelsea, we ask, In lieu of any gifts and a baby shower, if you would instead contribute towards her registered home birthing experience.
* Cost of a home birth
In the city of Whitehorse, where the birth will be taking place, home-birth requires two registered private midwives, including the cost of the labour, birth any necessary equipment is $5000. In addition to this, there are pre and post natal appointments costing $1000.
Any contribution to this ultimate gift for Chelsea are greatly appreciated by her, her family and her entire support crew.
