Hello everyone!

This year we have been granted the opportunity to embark on a medical/dental mission trip to Honduras with the Global Brigades organization chapter here at Texas Tech University.

that empowers communities to meet their health and economic goals through university volunteers and local teams.” –the official Global Brigades website

We were very exciting when we found out about this organization because we are both pursuing careers in healthcare/public health. With interest in medicine and pharmacy, this trip will enable us to gain experience in the field, as well as give us an opportunity to give back. On this journey we will reach out to the rural communities in Honduras by volunteering. As volunteers, we will shadow local and foreign health professionals as they provide pro-bono consultations and medications to patients in rural communities. Volunteers assist with in-take, triage, medication packing, and health education. WE ARE VERY EXCITED!




The date of the trip is soon approaching (May 24th, 2017) and we need your help. There are two of us going on this trip, so it is quite expensive. Not only will your donations contribute to food, lodging, and airfare, the raised funds will also go towards medical supplies for the patients we will be assisting. No donation is too small!
