On June 20th 2020, our families world came crashing down when God took one of the most beautiful angels in Tracey. At a tender age of 37 she had so much more to live for when her life was cruelly taken away from her unexpectedly, leaving behind her loving partner Willie, her two amazing kids William Jr, Sophie and a family that adored the ground she walked on.
The weeks leading up to June 20th, Tracey developed Sepsis which is known to be more harmful than heart attacks and some forms of cancer in Ireland. Tracey really battled this horrible disease until the very end with most cases lasting a few days but like the fighter she was in life, she channeled her inner warrior spirit and gave it her all but unfortunately it wasn't too be and us as a family were dealt with the biggest hammer blow to the heart imaginable.
September marks Sepsis Awareness Month and as Tracey's Family and Friends we have decided to walk Carruantohill Mountain on the 26th of September (Irelands Highest Mountain) in aid of Sepsis Trust but also we have set up a fund in William and Sophie's name which will be relinquished to them when they turn 18. For those that knew Tracey, I am sure that you will all agree how fantastic a mother she was and how she would go to the ends of earth for both kids and honestly would love nothing more for them to have a future put in place. Sepsis Awareness Month isn't featured that much on radio,tv and across social media so hopefully this fundraiser will open more eyes to the warning signs of Sepsis and will help save a life down the road.
We have set a target of €1000.00 and we hope to achieve this by the end of the month. We are also hoping to do a Bingo Night but we will await confirmation to do this as we will need to adhere to strict covid-19 guidelines.
