In honor of our 10th Deltaversary, Tenacious 43, Spring 2011 will raise and donate $10,000 for scholarships and grants to support the educational, economic, and political advancement of Black women.

 

The Tenacious Scholarship

 

$5,000 in scholarships will be available to Black women scholars currently enrolled or planning to attend a Historically Black College or University.

 

They should demonstrate financial need, a commitment to public service, and a spirit of tenacity. Special preference will be shown to applicants that have an academic focus in STEM, entrepreneurship, or social justice.

 

The Tenacious Social Impact Grant

 

$5,000 in grants will be allocated to 501c3 nonprofit organizations or established mutual aid organizations that support Black women in further establishing themselves through economic development, educational development, or political awareness and involvement.

 

Special preference will be shown to Black led social impact organizations that support mothers, returning citizens, or small business owners.
