Hi, Laila is 11 years old, She was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in April of last year(2018). It has been a challenging year and we are still learning how to live with Type 1 Diabetes.

Last year I was given information on Camp Nejeda-A summer camp for children, teens and families with Type 1 Diabetes. It is amazing, most of the staff have Type 1. It is an opportunity for education, empowerment, camaraderie, and fun. A space where kids can relate  and parents can feel supported. Last year we attended the family camp weekend program.

This year Laila also wishes to attend the 2 week Summer Program (SESSION #3). Laila continues to be very independent, involved in activities and is not shy or embarrassed about her medical condition but when she is at the Camp she just seems free. 

I would like to have the funds available before the payment deadline  May 1st 2019. This would mean 2 weeks of smiles and laughter for Laila and every little bit is appreciated. Thank You all for your time and kindness.
