Hi, my name is Melissa; over the last six years, I came to know this remarkable woman and her family while volunteering my time on the PTO board at Ryan Intermediate. Her name is Jennifer Stuck, her Husband Tim and their five kids: Colin, Adisyn, Andrew, Nathan and their newest bundle Charlotte who just turned one. She is the one always there for everyone. She makes sure our Ryan staff, students and her family are taken care of. However, that time has come when she needs our community's help.

While on a beautiful and much-needed family vacation in Flordia, their family experienced a tragic accident with their middle child. From Tim's post:

"This is a long and extremely difficult post to make. We are in Florida for a Disney vacation. We checked into our resort yesterday. While at the pool yesterday, Andrew suffered an accident. He was underwater for a short time before being pulled unresponsive. He began to breathe on his own after CPR and one shock from an AED. He was transferred from a local hospital to a pediatric ICU in Orlando. He had an MRI today, which showed a brain injury/stroke associated with lack of oxygen to his brain. Now we wait and repeat imaging in a day or so to look for any changes to the part of his brain that was injured. It is still too early to have answers to some questions.

This kid is the strongest human I've ever met. He's a fighter, and this case is no different. He's fighting hard, and we are seeing encouraging things from him. He opens his eyes, follows commands and is able to nod yes or no. He answers questions like normal for him and is currently watching Paw Patrol.

For now we just ask for prayers and time. Please just give us time to focus on Andrew. We will update as we have them and are able. We are focusing one day at a time. It's gonna be a long road, but we'll make it.

Also, if you could be in prayer regarding our vehicle, Jenn was in an accident this morning while coming to the hospital. Luckily there were no injuries, but the car needs to be fixed."
