The Stuart’s Camino
During this lovely season of Lent, my wee dad & I are going on a week expedition to complete part of the Camino De Santiago route (El Camino Inglés). We will spend 6 days walking (around 130~ km) to reach our final destination, The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.
This is something we have aimed to do for a while now but thought - why not double up our purpose to raise awareness and funds for a very, very important charity.
Mary’s Meals was founded in a wee town in the north of Scotland and now consistently feeds over 2.7 million young people in their places of education across more than 20 countries. It’s hard to imagine what 2.7 million kids look like but it’s important to remember that within that huge number is an individual life and a unique chance for a young person to access a valuable education.
It only costs £19.15 to feed one child for the FULL year with Mary’s Meals so, our target of £600 will feed a full primary class worth of pupils. That is 30 more young people we can serve and help to access education across the world!
We are so looking forward to our trip beginning on the 8th April and thank you for your support
