The Sponsor Fund by Community Sponsorship Hub

Donation protected
The Sponsor Fund, managed by Community Sponsorship Hub, helps sponsors welcoming through the Welcome Corps overcome financial barriers so that community members can support more newcomers as they recover and regain their futures.

The Welcome Corps is a new opportunity for Americans to welcome refugees seeking freedom and safety and, in turn, make a difference in their own communities. Working in groups of five or more volunteers, private sponsor groups welcome refugees and provide direct and needed supports.

Financial constraints may be an important factor limiting volunteers from joining the Welcome Corps, as sponsors must raise a minimum of $2,425 per newcomer. Through the Fund, eligible sponsor groups can apply to receive financial support for initial funding requirements.

Your tax-deductible donation enables communities across the country to welcome families where it wasn’t possible before. The Sponsor Fund helps sponsor groups overcome financial barriers, catalyzing communities to join this growing movement of welcome and increasing the number of participants in private sponsorship.

Breaking down barriers and defraying costs, the Fund is expanding and diversifying a growing movement of welcome. Thanks to The Sponsor Fund, groups can sponsor newcomers where it wasn’t possible before, better leverage other community resources, and inspire others to participate in welcome.

Community Sponsorship Hub wishes to thank the Accenture Foundation for their contribution, providing the seed funding for the Sponsor Fund. Their generous support has helped further CSH's mission of growing the role of communities in the protection, resettlement, and integration of refugees and other forcibly displaced people. We are thankful to Accenture for making the Sponsor Fund possible, and for their commitment to advancing solutions to the global migration crisis.

GoFundMe.org is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 81-2279757). Its mission is to provide fast and effective relief to victims of disaster, and to fund education and other charitable initiatives. In its first 5 years of operation, GoFundMe.org raised over $140 million, for distribution to vetted nonprofit organizations serving the same mission, and to verified individuals who are part of the charitable class. GoFundMe.org eliminates the paradox of choice for donors by providing one centralized place to give, knowing that those dollars are efficiently dispersed to the right organizations and people. Donations to this fund are tax-deductible to the extent permissible by law.
