Support the Smith's After Devastating House Fire

Donation protected
In the early hours of Saturday 26th April 2025, tragedy struck one of our own. Our dear friends and valued Central Charlestown Junior Rugby League Club, Redhead Nippers, Newcastle Falcons and CEPS family members — Andrew, Natalie, Jonah, Cooper, and River Smith — lost not just their home and all of their belongings, but also Nat's hair salon, in a devastating house fire.

The Smith's are a family at the heart and soul of our community. With their sporty boys belonging to local Rugby League, AFL, Nippers, and basketball communities and Andrew & Nat volunteering countless hours to support those clubs as well as our local schools Charlestown East Public and Whitebridge High School.

Miraculously, the family made it out safely, and for that we are so incredibly grateful. But now they are facing the unimaginable — starting over with nothing.

It’s at times like this that we show the true meaning of community. Central has always been more than a club — we are a family. And today, we’re asking our broader community to rally behind one of our own.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help the Smith's begin to rebuild their lives — to replace the essentials, find temporary accommodation, and start the long road to rebuild their home.

Please give if you can, and share this with others. Let’s wrap the Smith's in the love and support they have so selflessly given to so many of us over the years.
