Support Chloe and Her Young Family

Former Batley player Simon Wilson is taking on a huge challenge to help support his daughter Chloe during the toughest battle of her life.

Chloe has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and is now facing an aggressive course of chemotherapy treatment. Since November, she had repeatedly been misdiagnosed with costochondritis before finally receiving the devastating diagnosis.

Chloe is a loving single mum to two young children, both under the age of three. As she begins treatment, she is expected to be unable to work for between 6 and 12 months, placing significant financial pressure on her and her family at a time when they should be focused solely on her recovery.

We are raising funds to help Chloe with:

* The cost of a wig, as chemotherapy will cause hair loss and she is unable to use a cold cap due to her blood cancer.

* Household bills and day-to-day living expenses.

* Helping provide food and essentials for her two young children.

* Any additional costs that arise during her treatment and recovery.

Simon’s Challenge – Sunday 19th July

To raise funds for Chloe, Simon will be taking on a challenge inspired by his outstanding Batley career.

315 Appearances = 315 Laps of the Stadium

Simon will complete 315 laps of the stadium, with former teammates and friends invited to join him and help complete the distance.

92 Tries = 92 Full-Pitch Tries

Children are invited to take part by scoring tries from the full length of the pitch.

To make the day even more special, Simon’s grandson will score the final try.

399 Goals = 199 Conversions

Former players are invited to help by kicking conversions throughout the event.

In addition, Simon must successfully kick a goal after every completed lap.

Once all 315 laps have been completed, Simon will finish the day by successfully kicking:
