Let's help the Simard Family

Shane Simard and his wife Kirsten along with their 3 sons, Declan, Brycen and Kaysen were in the direct line of fire of the early morning house explosion in Swan Hills on Monday, December 2nd.

This family has been through so much in the past few years that most don't ever encounter. Yet their family bond is unbreakable. You can see them coaching baseball in the spring, helping out during hockey season and dropping everything to help anyone in need. During the summer, you can find all the neighborhood kids gathered at their house most days for endless hours.

Both of their vehicles have been either written off or out of comission. Their house has extensive damage and due to unforseen circumstances, all repairs to the house will be out of pocket. So far, the entire front side of their home is going to need to be replaced including extensive landscaping to remove glass and debris. The damage to the interior of the house is still unknown.

It's our turn to be there for them. Let's take some of the burden off of them so they can enjoy Christmas and continue to be the gathering place for the neighborhood kids.
