Hi, my name is Abi, and I’m raising funds on behalf of Sheltered Sisters, a mission born from my own story of pain, survival, and purpose.

For years, I watched women — including myself — lose their voices, their confidence, and their sense of self in the hands of men who promised love but gave control and cruelty instead. I’ve seen bright, beautiful souls shrink into silence because society told them to “endure.”

But I couldn’t stay silent anymore.

Sheltered Sisters was born from that breaking point — a movement dedicated to helping women heal, rebuild, and rise again after abuse. What started as a few words of encouragement has grown into a lifeline for women who just need someone to say, “You can start over.”

This isn’t just a project for me — it’s a calling. A promise to every woman who has ever cried herself to sleep thinking she’s alone: You are not alone anymore.

Why This Matters

Every day, I speak to women who are fighting silent battles — women afraid to leave, women with nowhere to go, women who’ve lost everything but are still holding on to hope.

Many live in environments where abuse is normalized, where help is unavailable, and where leaving means losing everything — even their lives. In Africa especially, countless women remain trapped, not because they lack courage, but because they lack support.

Through Sheltered Sisters, we are changing that — one woman, one story, one safe space at a time. But to keep doing this work, we need your help.

• Financial support for women in crisis, especially across Africa — helping them leave abusive homes, feed their children, and start fresh.

• Building safe shelters where women and children can escape violence, find safety, and begin their journey of healing.

• Empowerment programs that train women in skills and entrepreneurship, giving them the tools to stand on their own feet.

• Healing and awareness initiatives that teach emotional intelligence, boundary-setting, and self-worth.

• Community outreach projects to reach women in rural and underprivileged areas who have no access to shelters, therapy, or protection.
