An estimated 16,000 people experience homelessness in the county. And data compiled in the Alameda Countywide Shelter and Services Survey, May 2004 Report (ACSSS) found that: 49.2% of Alameda County’s 6,215 homeless people live in Oakland.

Between 2017 and 2019, Oakland's homeless population has experienced a 47 percent increase with the majority living in encampments, vehicles, and places not meant for human habitation".

And, during the past two years, California has become home to the largest number of people experiencing homelessness — 161,548 —
according to the 2020 count.

Hence, The Sa'i Project has been created as a "goodwill street effort" to make a difference for the homeless. So please help us raise $3,000.00 for the purchase of essential items, hygienic products, food, clothing, shoes, tents, and mats.

Our mission will be supported by teams of people, who will prepare and deliver items to encampments, beneath freeways, and individuals. (Note: We will be giving regular updates for you to follow as we move forward.)

Please join this important endeavor and contribute.

Let's make this the first of many efforts, as good samaritans.
Thank you so much for your contributions and support.
