The Robin Hood Inn isn’t just a pub — it’s a living piece of Welsh history. For more than five centuries, this Grade II listed building has welcomed travellers, neighbours, and generations of Monmouth families. It has stood through wars, celebrations, and countless chapters of community life.
After the devastating floods that hit Monmouth and the surrounding area, the pub suffered significant damage. Thanks to the incredible support we’ve received — from locals, visitors, and friends near and far — we’re now close to reopening our doors
As a family-run business, we’ve poured everything we have into restoring this historic space with care, respect, and determination. We’re nearly there, but we still need a final boost to complete the last essential repairs and bring the Robin Hood Inn fully back to life
If we’re fortunate enough to exceed our remaining goal, any extra funds will be shared across the town to the Monmouth mayors fund and support other local businesses and community initiatives still recovering from the floods.
Together, we’ve shown what Monmouth can do. Let’s take this final step — to protect our heritage, celebrate our resilience, and welcome everyone back to the Robin Hood Inn.
Thank you for standing with us
