The Road Between Us - Hobart to Launceston (200 km)
Donation protected
Hi,
Thank you for opening the link, and as you're reading this, let me introduce what this project is and who we are.
We are runners from the Chiya Guff Run Club, and we are running 200 km from Hobart to Launceston on the 18th and 19th of May, 2025.
We are a group of designated and focused individuals with varying ages, from early-20s to early-40s, with our own life paths, and we have come together with a common sport—a therapy of running.
The purpose of this run is to promote Australian running culture among people of different nationalities and ethnicities.
Our run club's heart and soul is primarily based on embracing this culture among the majority and minority within greater Hobart.
If you decide to help us after reading this, your donated amount will contribute to bearing the cost of our accommodation, food, safety equipment, merchandise, and other costs. Our initial approach was to self-fund the project, which is not completely out of the picture just yet, but we wanted the community to come together on this, as this project is bigger than an individual or run club. We believe this is the beginning of something bigger than us.
About the run,
We are 12 individuals. 5 full-timers who will be doing a minimum of a marathon distance (42.2 km) for 2 days. The rest are part-time runners who will run to their capacity. A brief insight chart will be posted after the event concludes. We have finalized the road map and will be avoiding the main highway.
The project will start at 4AM on 18th May from Regatta, Hobart, and is estimated to be completed at 4PM on 19th May at Cataract Gorge, Launceston.
On the first day, we aim to complete 110 km and will be staying at Ross.
On the second day we aim to complete 100 km and will be staying in Launceston for the night.
Thank you for being so patient and reading it all.
Every contribution would mean something not left unnoticed.
Monetary or moral contribution, we appreciate it all.
Please share this with your friends, family, and work colleagues.
We believe in this project. We hope you will too.
