The Ring and the Mountain and the Healing Hearts

Donation protected
I am Shellie Cicero-Giroux, and I am appreciative to have Abby Wadsworth-Boretto as my friend. I've had the privilege of witnessing her journey to uncover the untold story of her father and his brief yet heroic life. These past two years have been marked by travels across continents and through decades, weaving through history and into the future. Abby has navigated these experiences with the expected grace and style, demonstrating not only a generous spirit but also dedicating valuable resources.

As we stand on the brink of the US premiere of "The Ring and The Mountain," there lies an opportunity to recognize and support Abby in her mission of bringing together all those impacted by the events of that fateful day in September 1972. I urge you to consider offering sponsorship or making a donation to facilitate the gathering of these individuals for this significant event.

Abby has meticulously crafted a documentary detailing the helicopter crash that claimed her father's life and the lives of four other young marines in September 1972. The film unravels the incredible chain of events that led Abby to undertake this project. Over the past two years, she has been in contact with individuals who knew her father—from his high school days in Syracuse, NY, to his time at the US Naval Academy, and even comrades from his squadron on the aircraft carrier Inchon. She has also connected with the man who discovered her father's Academy ring. Abby's relentless quest has taken her to Grytoya, Norway, the crash site, and various locations across the USA.

In preparation for the premiere on the USS Midway in San Diego, California, Abby has located family representatives for each of the fallen crewmembers. She hopes to support their attendance, recognizing that these family members, could greatly benefit from our assistance in making the trip. For some, this premiere represents the sole opportunity to publicly acknowledge and remember their lost family member.

I am reaching out to request your support in making a meaningful difference in the lives of these family members. All funds raised will be utilized for airfare, meals, and accommodations, ensuring that the families of "Short Stop 24" (the helicopter crew) can participate in and appreciate your generous support.
