The Revell family is near and dear to my heart. 2025 has not been kind to my friends. Joe required a hip replacement. As a result, he was unable to work for several weeks. The two boys have had several medical issues this year, everything from seizures, tonsillitis, and sprained ankles. These required either emergency room visits, ambulance rides, surgery, medications, and several follow-up visits. As you can imagine, these alone required a large chunk of money. Making things even more difficult, sufficient daycare could not be found to cover the summer months while the boys were out of school. The decision was made for Stacey to quit her job and cash in her 401(k) to get the family through that timeframe. Between lost income and increased bills, all savings and retirement have been drained. Many of us have been in this position. Each of us has had to make difficult decisions—sometimes impossible decisions—to stay afloat.

Joe is on the cusp of getting back to work, the boys are back in school (although medical issues are still a struggle), and Stacey is doing odd jobs until the boys are better. However, they are not out of the financial woods and need our help. This is where GoFundMe and crowdsourcing can help.
