Hello,

First of all thank you so much for the support this time last year, where we had fallen behind on our rent for the middle bookshop! We were able to pay back the overdue rent, but we were not able to keep renting the shop and the owners of the walls took it back. Today, the bookshop in between is becoming a beautiful flowershop- and so between our Red Balloon children's bookshop and The Red Wheelbarrow there will be flowers!

In the meantime, we are in the process of solving our problem that we have had for over two years - getting a new accountant as our former one stopped working with us in November 2023 and refused to give our accounts to another accountant! So we haven't been able to find investors, go under in our bank accounts etc etc - but we do need a gentle push in order to get ourselves up and able to function normally as an independent bookshop.

We are hoping to raise 100 000 euros, because we need to pay the new accountant an advance, our social charges, our rents, but most of all we need to be able to pay our publishers, in order to keep getting in the books that we love to sell in the bookshop.
