Return of the Prodigal Son: Phillip Chambers

UPDATE:

After voluntarily returning home to reconcile his past, Phil (Justin) has been able to be released on bond thanks to the support of his family and close friends! He is currently working to establish roots in the community with his career, home, family, etc. He is still facing multiple cases in which the sentencing offers have far outweighed the charges. We pray for the opportunity to have a fair trial preceding and receive the best outcome possible.

Right now, we are seeking support through contributions and/or prayer to obtain further legal representation in the State of Illinois, as his next court hearing is scheduled for end of July/early August.

We ask also to continue passing this petition along to friends and family to get as much exposure as possible.

Thank you to all that have donated and signed! If you have questions, please feel free to reach out!

ORIGINAL STORY: Phillip Chambers is a man that has been redeemed by God and has completely changed his life from a lost soul into the man he was designed to be. We are so proud of the man he has become on a 14-year journey of finding his path. Phil is a now a strict vegan, has a strong faith practicing the beliefs of the 7th Day Adventists, is a carpenter, a snowboarder, has a strong connection to nature and respect for living things, and has volunteered countless hours of his time to help those around him in the last 14 years. He has developed close friendships and relationships over the last 14 years, and those close to him describe him as being "humble, a positive role model, a hard worker,  soft-spoken, a helper to all, wise, and a friend."

Phil's dream is to be able to start a non-for-profit organization to help young boys to become well-equipped and focused, and not fall down a path that he did as a young boy and as a young adult. Phil is engaged to be married, and is looking forward to making amends with his past to move forward with his family, community, and God.

The story of the return of the prodigal son is exactly how Phil has come home (Luke 15 11 32 ). The full miracle of Phil's story is found in the video link above from Pastor Stephen Bruce of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Coquille, Oregon.

Phil has voluntarily returned home to make amends with his past. He is now facing a $250,000 bond ($25,000 cash bail) for a nonviolent, victimless charge from 15 years ago of which he as voluntarily faced to make amends.

Our priority ask right now is for your prayers for him and our family as we navigate this season, and that mercy be granted in this situation. If you feel led to donate, we are grateful for any donations to help him achieve his path of redemption and the ability to demonstrate his servant leadership by helping others that are lost as he once was.

Sincerely his sister,

Elizabeth
